Welcome to the MIT Playskript application (PlaySkript); this application is supported and maintained by MIT's Computer Aided Programming Group at CSAIL. PlaySkript is primarily a research platform, but is provided as a service to the community.

You must read and agree to these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Terms”) prior to using any portion of this Site. These Terms are an agreement between you and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. If you do not understand or do not agree to be bound by these Terms, please immediately exit this Site.

MIT reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time and will publish notice of any such modifications online on this page for a reasonable period of time following such modifications, and by changing the effective date of these Terms. By continuing to access the Site after notice of such changes have been posted, you signify your agreement to be bound by them. No Warranty and Limitation of liability

There is no warranty for this service, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The PlaySkript service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The entire risk as to the quality, availability, performance and integrity of the software is with you, the user. In no event, unless required by applicable law, will MIT be liable for any damages for the use or inability to use the service. This includes general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising from failures of the service to perform as expected, even if MIT has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

MIT also reserves the right to add or remove functionality from the service at any time and, unless required by applicable law, will not be liable from any damages arising from such changes.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, hold harmless and indemnify MIT, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any third-party claims, actions or demands arising out of, resulting from or in any way related to your use of the Site, including any liability or expense arising from any and all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorneys’ fees, of every kind and nature. In such a case, MIT will provide you with written notice of such claim, suit or action.

Any user who views or engages with content in PlaySkript agrees to be bound by the terms below. These terms are subject to change at any moment and without notice; every engagement with PlaySkript is bound by the terms valid on the date of the engagement.

Privacy Policy

PlaySkript uses cookies to track engagement with content in order to improve the experience of users and to potentially provide content creators with metrics to understand how much engagement their content is generating and potentially suggest how to improve their content. However, all data is anonimized, so playskript cannot directly link the data to you individually.

User created content

PlaySkript is a platform for creating and disseminating user-generated content. MIT is not responsible for content created by PlaySkript users. However, we strive to maintain wholesome and inclusive community; if you see any content that would violate our content guidelines, please let us know by reporting that content through the link in the project viewing page.

All content created or disseminated through PlaySkript must adhere to the following guidelines. If you see content that violates this guidelines, please report it through the link provided in the content viewing page.

Additional terms of service for account holders and content creators

MIT reserves the right to update these terms of service at any time and for any reason. When such changes occur, users will be notified by e-mail about these changes to the terms of service and will have the option to cancel their account if they do not agree with the updated terms of service.

PlaySkript is a platform for creation and dissemination of user generated content. By creating or disseminating content through PlaySkript, you are aware that you are responsible for your content and assume any liability that may arise from the publication of said content. Any content you publish must adhere to the content guidelines. Publication of content that fails to satisfy the guidelines may be subject to the removal of the content and possibly the suspension of your account. Enforcement of the guidelines is entirely at the discretion of MIT.

Content stored with playskript

PlaySkript will strive to protect the integrity of any content created or stored in our service, and to maintain the privacy of any content that you have not explicitly published. However, and to the extent permitted by law, MIT will not be responsible for any loss or corruption of content stored within the service, or for any exposure of data stored within the service. The use of the PlaySkript service to store data whose exposure or corruption could lead to financial or reputational harm is against the terms of service.

Data collection

In order to provide you with a better experience, PlaySkript will record any projects that you view and interact with, and will use that history to show you more relevant projects when browsing or to potentially improve search results. The information will also be used to show aggregate statistics about project engagement to content creators. PlaySkript may also run automated analysis over your code in order to help improve its programming technology. By creating an account on PlaySkript, you agree to this collection of information. You can use the history console to view the history of visited projects associated with your account. You can also use this interface to delete that history at any time.
